Oh how excited am I that it is a long weekend? Very!
I had a hectic week. Tyler and I had a planning meeting with Amy Monday afternoon. We talked about getting the blog set up for the rest of the Bonners. We talked about what needed to be covered at Tuesday's Bonner meeting.
Tuesday we had an all Bonner meeting in which we had a guest speaker from the Center for Courageous Kids. That organization will be a wonderful service site. If I can find some spare time I want to go to Scottsville and help out!
I have spent most of my week fixing up the Bonner Wiki page and getting the blogspot set up for the rest of the Bonners to put in their weekly reflections. I have three new blogs from Bonners to link to the wiki. With Amy out recovering from her surgery, I have a lot of work to do. I wish Amy a safe recovery, we're going to miss her around here.
Thank goodness it's a long weekend so I can get some rest and be ready to start all over again on Tuesday!

1.
This is my senior year at LWC. I'm entering my second year as a Bonner Leader. I love being a part of this organization and being a part of social change. I have learned real, practical ways that I can make a difference not only within my community but the world. The Bonner organization has helped me developing the selfish attitude that is a common stereotype of my generation. There are so many of us out there doing good things. I am a part of something bigger than myself and I love it!
I'm serving as a senior intern and Bonner Congress Rep. this year. I'm both excited and nervous about the added responsibility. I want to be a mentor to the new Bonners and help them adjust to working with their community partner. We seem to have a great group this year. I really look forward to working with them. We are very diverse and respectful of each other. Orientation in Jabez, KY was a nice getaway to spend time with the other Bonners. I am excited for all the things LWC can accomplish this year. We have big hearts, and we are ready to give it all!
